Synopsis: This video examines immediate continuation-bets. In general, immediate c-bets will tend to weaken a bettor’s range. This is only a slightly reliable tell on your average flop; where it can be more useful is on coordinated flops (i.e., paired boards, three cards to a flush.) This is because players who flop strong have a genuine motivation to think more about the situation and the best way to play it. They may also want to convey some uncertainty. Whereas pre-flop raisers who aren’t strong can have a motivation to just fire a c-bet automatically, without thinking.
