About the book
I’m Zachary Elwood and I’m a former professional poker player and the author of the Reading Poker Tells trilogy. Exploiting Poker Tells is the third and final book in that series; I don’t plan on writing another one.
I’m proud of this book because it gives a detailed look at how experienced players (not just me but other, better poker players) understand and use opponent behavior in practical ways. Unlike my first book, Reading Poker Tells, this book uses detailed hand histories to illustrate its points. The hand histories help give context about the reasons why you might decide to use behavior to make a decision or (sometimes more importantly) why you might decide to ignore that behavior.
Reviews from readers:
“Easily the best books I’ve read on poker tells. Thanks again, Zachary, for sharing. Both books worth their weight in gold. I reference them on a regular basis.”
– William Tait, poker player
“I’ve finished a second read [of Exploiting Poker Tells]. I had assumed that it would just be an appendix, but I think this book may be your best work.”
– J.K. Troell, poker player
“Hall of fame. No competition. If this was a study at Oxford or any university, then this would earn a doctorate’s degree.”
– Frank E., poker player
