Some more thoughts on dealing with making mistakes and getting angry with yourself. I realize that the reason for me getting angry at myself lately is because I should know better. An increasing skill level means increasing disappointment when you don’t live up to your perception of your own skill level.

Making mistakes in poker and forgiving yourself

I went out in 5th in a big tournament ($400 BI), playing a hand very badly and being very angry with myself because I should have known better. I wrote this post to try to deal with the anger and the frustration at making basic mistakes at this point in my life.
